The specialized Human Rights House Library is available to all civil society activists, students, and researchers interested in human rights. In one place, you can find a wealth of literature covering the theory and practice of human rights, significantly facilitating the process of research, information gathering, and public advocacy.
Who can use the library?
The library is open to civil society organizations, foundations, unions, students, and active informal groups that promote democracy and civic participation. The space is also available to other interested parties, such as state and local institutions, the media, and donors, who provide their activities to support the work of civil society.
Space features
The library is open on weekdays, from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. In special circumstances, the space can be used on weekends. The 61m² space is air-conditioned on the ground floor and fully accessible for wheelchair users. The library also includes a small kitchen and restroom, and the space can be further adapted to the users’ needs in coordination with the staff.
How to reserve the space?

Users will receive a response regarding the availability of the space within 24 hours. If the requested time slot is unavailable, the first available slot closest to the requested time will be offered.
User obligations
Users are required to leave the space in the same condition as they found it. In case of any damage, the user is obligated to compensate for it and loses the right to further use of the space.
