Human Rights House Belgrade at the Human Rights House Network Meeting in Oslo
From June 9 to 13, 2025, Human Rights House Belgrade took part in the Network Meeting in Oslo. The event provided an opportunity to connect and exchange strategies for addressing key challenges such as anti-NGO narratives, disinformation, and restricted civic space. Emphasis was placed on innovative advocacy approaches, communication strategies, and support for human rights defenders.
The meeting also celebrated growth within the Network. Since the last gathering in 2023, Human Rights Houses in Banja Luka, Belgrade, and Zagreb, together with Sarajevo Open Centre, established a regional network in Southeast Europe and published two thematic reports. Newly formed coalitions have also shown interest in establishing new Houses, while the Network Advisory Council held its first in-person meeting in Oslo.
The Human Rights Houses Network gathers every two years to strengthen mutual connections, enhance collective capacities, and reaffirm its commitment to human rights through solidarity and collaboration.
